Broker Manager - NJ/NY

Purpose

- Actively manage the 3rd party brokers assigned to accounts

      - Train brokers on products, ordering, and all business processes

      - Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments of broker performance

      - Authority to make Broker Change recommendations

- Achieving annual volume/sales objectives in territory

- Managing annual budget of $0.5 MM

- Developing territory volume/sales plans

- Lead “top to top” customer visits as needed

      - Review new items, performance of existing products, and promotions with customer

      - Conduct on-going retail visits

      - Attend Trade shows as needed

- Be in daily communication with broker to handle customer service issues/questions that arise

- Assist brokers with customer presentations, plan-o-gram (POG) analysis, and IRI data reports

- Communicate plans to Mgr, Regional Food Sales
 


Accountabilities

• Reports to Manager, Regional Food Sales

• Interfaces with: Broker Account Executives and Retail Team (Daily), Customer Marketing Manager, and Customer Service

• Achieving annual volume and business plans

• Direct Shipment Volume

• KPI (share, distribution, consumption) measured through syndicated data

• Special Pack and base volume Forecast accuracy

• Profitability of the Accounts including deduction management

• Increase overall performance rating and Broker Performance

• Manage TPF according to company guidelines
 


Pre-Requisites

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:

a. Experience- 7+ yrs sales experience in the Food COT; broker management experience preferred

b. Volume Responsibility-Experience managing over $3 MM Sales

c. Leadership- People management, w/ broker management experience preferred

d. Travel Required- 50%+

e. Proven ability to manage a $0.5 MM Budget with P/L responsibility

f.  Ability to motivate, manage, and monitor 3rd parties

g.  Strong presentation, analytical, computer, and management skills
