Purpose

 

To be a collaborative partner/ leader to work with commercial, S&T, and manufacturing to bring new products to market


Accountabilities

 

·   A good understanding of the supply chain operational management agenda with regard to Cost of Goods, capacity, logistics, planning, capex, safety, and quality.

·   Experience with Stage Gate Innovation development process

·   Excellent project management and organizational skills to ensure new product launches and margin enhancement are delivered on time and budget.

o         Capture and monitor the requirements and interactions of each of the functions (marketing, sales, S&T, regulatory, manufacturing)

o         Ensure that the team fully understands which activities are on the critical path

·   The ability to facilitate development of a project fact base with other functions, define options, clearly understand trade offs, and escalate concerns/issues

Work with and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of commercial, S&T, and supply chain colleagues


Pre-Requisites

  

·   Knowledge of how to develop feasibility assessments and business cases to support development and justification of business critical projects

·   The ability to coordinate/manage significant number of simultaneous projects

·   Interpersonal relationship skills are crucial

·   Must have ability to perform well as a leader of an interdisciplinary business team; indirectly lead cross-functional teams

·   Demonstrate leadership and project management skills

·   Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·   Ability to present complex topics to senior staff members

·   Must have strong negotiation and influencing skills

·   Demonstrated project management, planning, and analytical skills

·   Solid grasp of financial analysis, operations, and logistics processes

· B.S. degree in: Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science or related field of study

· 10 years of experience in a role focused on new product launches (either project management, R&D, commercial, or supply chain roles)
