Insights Managers are critical business partners to the Business Unit Marketing and Innovation teams. They bring deep consumer, category and competitive insight to bear on our commercial agenda, informing our most important decisions and proactively identifying opportunities and issues.
• Partner with the relevant BU Marketing and Innovation teams to proactively contribute to strategic plans and ensure that the research needs to support those plans are met.
• Collaborate with the customer and shopper insight teams within the Sales function to ensure that our insight programs are joined up across the sales-marketing interface.
• Develop an ongoing program of market research for the relevant business areas to inform, develop and support the applicable brand, channel and customer strategies This includes:
o Partnering in the definition/framing of business objectives.
o Designing, proposing and managing research activities to support business objectives.
o Analyzing and interpreting results and communicating effectively to all stakeholders.
o Working in partnership with commercial colleagues to identify the right course of action based on research insights.
o Ensuring that all research is actionable and strategically aligned.
o Adding personal intellectual value via a deep understanding of the key business issues and by bringing multiple sources of insight to bear on them.
o Championing the use and ongoing development of our proprietary research techniques including the Pathfinder segmentation(s).
o Striving to continually develop and enhance our market research capability in terms of people, suppliers, techniques and other resources.
o Working collaboratively with the rest of the Market Research team on areas that overlap or affect the whole team.
o Implementing the market research agenda in line with Cadbury standards: developing and maintaining project files, budget reports and monthly status reports and ensuring that all market research activity represents the best possible value for the money.
• Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline is required (any strongly numerical discipline, any discipline involving the study of human behavior).
• MBA and/or specialist post grad qualification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of blue chip client side market research experience including expertise in a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research tools and methodologies is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to empathize with consumers and derive deep insight from research findings.
• Credibility and the ability to influence at senior levels both formally and informally.
• Multi-market experience.
• Cultural awareness and maturity to effectively lead research projects across cultures.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work as part of a remote and virtual team.
